Why Corn and Soy Free
Simply put, chickens are monogastric animals (like humans) and do not have the ability to break down the polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA’s) in corn and soy. These PUFA’s build up and are then transferred to you, the consumer. PUFA’s are linked to increased inflammation and a multitude of heath issues.
Corn and soy are cheap fillers; crops that are subsidized by the government. Our hens free range our farm, eat bugs and grass, and get plenty of fresh air and sunlight. In addition, we supplement our chickens with an organic feed that is free from corn and soy.
