Corn and Soy Free Eggs.
Why corn-free and soy-free?
Simply put, chickens are monogastric animals (they have one stomach - like humans) and do not have the ability to break down the polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) in corn and soy. These PUFAs build up and are then transferred to you, the consumer. PUFAs are linked to increased inflammation and a multitude of health issues.
Corn and soy are cheap fillers, crops subsidized by the government. Our hens free range our farm, eat bugs and grass, and get plenty of fresh air and sunlight. In addition, we supplement our chickens with an organic feed free from corn and soy.
Whole Chicken
We will have limited quantities of pasture-raised whole chicken for sale a couple of times a year.
These chickens are raised on pasture and moved daily. They eat grass and bugs, till the ground, and fertilize the pasture to replenish the soil.
